Sameer Shoukat — Full Stack Developer. I help startup founders turn ideas into products people can use.
I build polished, production-ready web apps and MVPs with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript — from the first product conversation to launch.

Product development that moves an idea closer to launch.
Bring the product problem, the rough idea, or the next feature. I can help shape the path and build the software behind it.
MVP development
Turn a validated idea into a focused first release with the right foundation for iteration.
Custom web applications
Build the workflows, dashboards, and product experiences your users actually need.
Frontend product interfaces
Translate product thinking and Figma designs into responsive interfaces that feel considered.
API and backend integration
Connect reliable interfaces to practical data models, APIs, authentication, and integrations.
Ongoing engineering support
Keep shipping after launch with focused feature work, fixes, and improvements across the stack.
Useful when the product matters as much as the code.
I work best with people who want a thoughtful technical partner, clear communication, and steady progress toward a real release.
A strong first version should create clarity, not just add more software.
- Founders validating a product idea or preparing an MVP
- Early teams that need an experienced product developer
- Businesses replacing manual workflows with custom software
- Teams that need reliable frontend or full-stack delivery
Evidence that ideas can become useful, working products.
Explore the product context, the work I owned, and the technical decisions behind each project.
A clear path from first conversation to useful software.
The process stays collaborative and visible, so the product can evolve without losing direction.
Discovery call
Understand the idea, users, constraints, and what a useful first release means.
Scope and direction
Turn the conversation into a focused scope and a practical technical path.
Focused milestones
Build in visible increments so decisions stay clear and progress stays tangible.
Launch and improve
Ship the product, learn from real use, and keep improving what matters.

Building and maintaining features for a streaming and social platform, working across frontend and backend as needed.
- Build and maintain features for a streaming and social platform using React, Next.js and Node.js.
- Develop REST API endpoints with Node.js and Express supporting user feeds, comments and profile data.
- Build responsive UI components in React and Next.js from Figma designs, matching design specs closely.
- Work with MongoDB to store and query application data, writing queries and schema updates as features evolve.
- Implement shared state with Redux Toolkit, and integrate Firebase for authentication and push notifications.
- Fix bugs and performance issues reported by QA or users, testing changes locally before deployment.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning and code reviews with a small distributed team; work in feature branches and pull requests.

Client-facing frontend work at a software agency — React and Vue interfaces built from design files and wired to team APIs.
- Built responsive web interfaces for client projects using React and Vue.js, translating Figma designs into working pages.
- Integrated REST APIs from backend teammates with Axios, handling data fetching, loading states and error handling.
- Implemented validated forms with React Hook Form, reducing bad form submissions.
- Styled applications with Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules and plain CSS depending on project requirements.
- Occasionally wrote simple Node.js/Express endpoints when a project needed a small backend change.
- Fixed cross-browser issues and improved page load speed through image optimization and lazy loading.
- Worked in Agile sprints, tracked tasks in JIRA and joined code reviews with senior developers, collaborating with 2–3 developers per project.

Tools I use daily — and the ones I'm honest about still learning.
Tap or hover a technology to see where it actually shows up in my work.
Four things I hold to.
Product First
Good software starts with understanding what users actually need — not with the framework you'd enjoy using.
Interfaces Matter
A technically strong product should also feel intuitive and polished. The interface is where the engineering is judged.
Build for Change
Architecture should make future changes easier, not harder. Requirements always move; the code should expect it.
Ship, Learn, Improve
Real products get better through iteration, feedback and measurement — not through one perfect release.
Developer by craft. Product-minded by default.
I'm a Full Stack Developer with 4+ years of experience building production web applications with React, Next.js, Node.js and MongoDB. Most of that time has been spent close to the interface — turning Figma files into components that hold up under real data, real users and real deadlines.
The backend half came from necessity and stayed out of interest. Writing the Express endpoints behind a feed, shaping a Mongoose schema as requirements move, wiring authentication — it makes me a better frontend engineer, because I understand the contract on both sides of it.
For the last two years I've worked remotely with a US-based team: standups, sprint planning, code review, pull requests, shipping features end to end. I care about interfaces that feel considered, code the next person can change, and being honest about what I know well versus what I'm still learning.
